Mystery Trip

A mystery trip was planned for all the presenters and staff at Phoenix Radio. Having no idea of where we were going, we kept guessing and wondering, even until the day we went!
On the coach we get, and loads of innuendoes are heard while whizzing along the M62 eastbound, so we knew we were going either to the York, the north east or the east, Skegness was mentioned as well.
We stopped off at a country inn just outside York, for breakfast that was laid on for us.
While having breakfast, Megan (Tea For Two and Country Collection) wanted some salt, and she picked it up, nothing came out, looked at it wondering if it was blocked, and there was no bottom to it! So no salt for Megan!

We passed through Pickering where there was a 1940s weekend, and we wondered if we were going to that. Going through Heartbeat Country, playing 60s music, we felt a bit of nostalgia and a timezone! It was great!
Heading towards Whitby, it could've been one of three places... Redcar area, Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay. We head into Whitby.
We then split into groups and do ourr own thing, some go to the pub, some go shopping in the small independent shops, while Megan, Kath, Trevor and Gary go wandering to the historic parts.
The pictures show the day out in Whitby.
On the way back, we stop off at quite a posh village pub in Bishopthorpe in York. A fantastic dinner we had there and we all wanted to come back again.
It was a great day, and we all want to do another Mystery Trip!
