The new Harvester in Broad St. Plaza, central Halifax has recently opened its doors to diners. A modern, contemporary interior gives a feeling of space and light.
The service was excellent and our waitress, Shannon, was very attentive. I also liked the idea that you could see the chefs at work at the far end of the restaurant. Something I wouldn't normally comment on were the loo facilities! These were individual mini bathrooms - very swish!
To the food, I selected BBQ chicken wings to start whilst Gemma had the Crackerjack prawns both of which tasted good and were an ideal portion size. For my main course I had baby back ribs with seasoned fries and Gemma went for the Piri Piri Chicken Skewers again with seasoned fries. There was an extensive selection at the salad bar and no limit to how much you had - great value.
I felt that The Harvester caters well for families and groups of friends, and the overall value is competitive given the undoubted fierce competition there will be in the Plaza.
