KAISER CHIEF COMES TO HALIFAX

Monday 12th January 2009

Nick 'Peanut' Baines, keyboard player with the Indie Rock Band Kaiser Chiefs, paid a visit to Phoenix on Monday 12th January and sat in on the Drivetime show for an hour, chatting to presenter Nick Phelps.

The two of them discussed the history and influences of the Kaiser Chiefs as well as current plans and future developments for the group.

Local bands had their tracks played during the hour and Peanut was able to talk about the West Yorkshire scene, as well as giving some fascinating insight into the British music scene in general.
The band featured on several shows over Christmas including performing Never Miss A Beat with Girls Aloud on their TV special and playing the same song on the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.
They are due to record a track for a CD compilation celebrating Motown's 50th Anniversary.
