Phoenix Radio was established in 1998 by local people who felt that Calderdale should have it's own radio station. We have successfully broadcast six Restricted Service Licenses over the years with the help of volunteers.
In 2004 the government changed the legislation and made way for a third tier of radio, community radio. These local radio stations all around the country were given the opportunity to apply to OFCOM for a full-time community radio licence in November 2004. After a very anxious wait, we were awarded a full-time community radio licence in September 2005 which meant that Calderdale had its very own radio station for the first time in history.
Since 2007 Phoenix Radio has been broadcasting 24/7 to the whole of Calderdale on 96.7 FM. To be able to improve our broadcasts and appeal to our listeners, we would like you to complete this questionnaire. It should take no longer than five minutes.
All individual questionnaire information will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with any other Radio Station or Media Outlet.
