Shibden Mill Inn has been situated in the pretty Shibden Valley for the last 350 years and has luxury rooms available as well as the award winning gourmet restaurant.

As a starter I selected the Salt and Pepper Free Range Pork Belly with Scallops and a chilli & ginger jam whilst Megan went for the Field Mushroom and Potato Soup which was obviously home made. Both starters set the tone for the mouthwatering main courses to come.

Although busy, we were served promptly with our meals. I had roast lamb and Megan the roast loin of pork. Both came with a selection of vegetables

and a Yorkshire pudding in addition I opted for the hand cut chips cooked in dripping - a real treat. As we expected the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were warm welcoming and efficient. Overall, this is a special and well run establishment well worth a trip out to experience.
