Nam Nam is an extension of the highly reputable Old Bore governed by the watchful eye of the award winning Head Chef Scott.
The service was excellent; we purposely had a volunteer Veggie to compliment Howard (Station Manager) and myself.
From tthe we walked through the door, it was welcome! Dishes we had not heard of were explained and the patience of the staff made us feel relaxed and comfortable. The setting is 'Old Worldly Cosy' although it could easily be for Groups, such as families, weddings, etc, as well as a romantic dinner for two.
The setting is ideal for dropping off the M66 J22, so perfect if travelling the Leeds- Manchester corridor.
Now, the food.Howard and myself shared the Nam Nam mixed platter starter with Chicken satay, Duck Spring Roll, Prawn Toast, Sweet Corn Fritter and Crispy Wanton. A platter for two which was exquisite. Robyn had the Veggie option of Mee Grob made from a crispy nest of noodles with a delicious soy based sauce and bean sprouts.
Main Course, I had Duckred Curry, Howard chose the special Pork Belly and Robyn tried the veg Ga Prow. This was accompanied by perfect sticky rice; Pad Thai noodles and stir fried greens in garlic and oyster sauce. We concur that this was a marvelloustaste sensation... but Robyn then went into the sweet- her assessment was OMG! A medley od chocolate. Need I say more.
I have reviewed the Old Bore in the past and have always been impressed by the quality, with Nam Nam as an addition, I can only see this new venture going from strangth to strength.
